Balls with Blue Cheese
Ingredients
- Biscuits, 1 can
- Blue cheese crumbled, 4 oz
- Margarine, ½ cup
Take a saucepan and place it on a low flame. Add margarine and allow it to melt. Now add cheese and heat till the cheese is melted. Cut biscuits in desired size and roll in this mixture completely coating it. Place these cookies on a cookie sheet and bake all these biscuits at 325°C for 20 minutes.
Pimiento Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
- Hard cooked and shelled eggs, 12
- Cayenne ground red pepper, ½ tsp
- No-fat mayonnaise dressing, ¼ cup
- Sliced pimientos, ½ cup
- Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp
- Salt, ¼ tsp
- Use herb sprigs for garnishing
Cut all the 12 eggs in half and slowly remove all the yolks and place it in a big bowl. Take a spoon or fork and mash all the yolks. Add in mayonnaise dressing, mustard, ground red pepper, salt and pimientos until it gets well mixed. Place all the whites in a 15 by 10 inch jelly roll pan covered with paper, so that the whites are balanced. Keep them for cooling and until they are ready to serve.
Dates and Bacon
Ingredients
- Thick sliced bacon, 1 pound
- Package pitted dates, 7 ounces
- Almonds, 3 ounces
A great and easy finger food recipe for a gathering. Start by soaking toothpicks in water for 15 minutes. Now heat the oven to 400°C. Take dates and slit it. Place one almond inside each date and wrap the dates with bacon. Take the help of these toothpicks to hold them together. Place on a cookie sheet and bake dates and bacon for at least 15 minutes.
Oven Fries
Ingredients
- Potatoes, 4
- Kosher salt, 2 tsp
- Coarsely ground black pepper, ¼ tsp
- Olive oil, 1 tbsp
For this delicious finger food appetizer, preheat the oven to 450°C. Scrub the potatoes well and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the potatoes length wise into ½ inch thick slices. Now cut these slices lengthwise into ½ inch wide sticks. Take a 15 by 10 inch jelly roll pan and spray the cooking spry all over. Take a separate pan and add in all the potato sticks, olive oil, kosher salt and coarsely ground black pepper. Mix well and transfer all these potatoes to the roll pan. Place them in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until they get browned and crisp.
Barbecue Chicken Bits
Ingredients
- Honey barbecue sauce, ½ cup
- Shredded cooked chicken, 1 cup
- Egg roll wrappers, 4 or 5
- Shredded cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese, ½ cup
- Oil for cooking
Take a bowl and add the chicken, cheese and barbecue sauce. Mix well and take about ¼ cup quantity in each egg roll wrapper. Fill the bottom corner with filling. Moisten the corner with water, so that it can be held properly. Take an electric skillet and heat oil at 375°C. Take egg rolls 2 at a time and fry each side until properly cooked.
